The route stays sealed until the day of. This one is a wine-only evening, so come for the pours and the company.

How the night works

A route through one of DC's best wine neighborhoods, with a short walk between each room. The secret itinerary is revealed to guests on the day of the event.

Small enough to feel like a dinner party, not a tour group.

Guided tastings and pours at each stop - unpretentious wine insights, and an environment built for getting to know a neighborhood, and some neighbors, a little better.
From the September table
I went in expecting it to be like every other DC networking event, I came out of it with people I genuinely see becoming close friends with. It was perfectly planned, paced, and executed. I made the foundest of memories and wouldn't trade it for the world!
Tuesday, September 8 & Tuesday, September 29
Two Tuesdays, two routes from Penn Quarter: one to Shaw, one to Eastern Market. Six of the wines were poured with no label and no idea what was in the glass.
Where we have been so far
The room that opened both nights. Three courses with pours chosen to stand up to the spice rather than hide from it, built for this table, with the dietary notes taken as a brief rather than a nuisance. The second time through, lamb took the place of the prawns, and the last red finally got the plate it had been waiting for.
Sixty minutes, six wines, no food, and no labels. The names were held back until the last glass was poured, so the room could taste first and check itself after. Nobody at the table had to perform expertise they did not have, which is the entire argument for pouring blind.
A vegetable-forward finale, three courses with pairings chosen alongside the kitchen for this table. The last pour of the night was picked to answer the first one.
Dinner off the rotisserie, family style, from a list of wines made by women. One bottle for the raw fish, one for everything that came off the spit, and two more friends at the table by the time the duck arrived.
A block from dinner, the last table: a red served chilled, then a sparkling red so pale it poured closer to blush. Dry, fizzy and cold, it closed out the night while the conversation kept going.
Nobody knew where they were going until the day of, which is the whole point.
Private Nights
The same evening, built around your group instead of a room of strangers. Your team, your milestone, your closest ten. The pours and the pacing are designed around the occasion, and I host it start to finish.
